Herbie Husker

Herbie Husker is the oldest current mascot of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's sports teams. Introduced in the early 1970s, Herbie has gone through a few makeovers, the most recent coming before the 2003 football season. He is dressed in denim coveralls, a red cowboy hat emblazoned with a large N, and has an ear of corn in his pocket. A fan favorite at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, he has a modified golf cart in the shape of a football helmet to drive around the stadium during halftime and before the famous "tunnel walk."
