Herbert Pell

Herbert Claiborne Pell, Jr. (1884 - 1961) was the United States Ambassador to Portugal. He is the father of Senator Claiborne Pell. On June 29, 1943, President Roosevelt named Pell as the representative of the United States on the United Nations Commission for the Investigation of War Crimes.
