Herbert P. Bix

the author of "Hirohito and the Making of Modern Japan" Herbert Bix got his Ph.D. in history and Far Eastern language from Harvard University. For several decades, he has writen about modern and contemporary Japanese history in the United States and Japan. He has taught at a lot of universities and is a professor of history and sociology at the State University of New York at Binghamton. He wrote "Hirohito and the Making of Modern Japan". This book won the Pulitzer Prize in 2001.
