Heather Couper

Heather Couper is a British astronomer who popularised astronomy in the 1990s and 2000s on British Television, often alongside Patrick Moore on the programme The Sky at Night. She was president of the British Astronomical Association 1984-1986. She graduated from Leicester University and did research at the Department of Astrophysics at Oxford University. She has written and co-written several books on astronomy and space and made many presentations for radio, television, and in public, and has co-founded Pioneer Productions, an independent UK TV production company focusing on factual programming.
