Heat Transmission

Heat transmission is a process whereby heat flows from a region of higher temperature to a region of lower temperature through one or more bodies. Examples are flow of heat from a room through a wall to the environment, or the flow of heat from water in a radiator to the air in the room. In heat transmission a combination of heat transfer processes is engaged: convection, radiation and conduction (through the body).
