Hathersage

Hathersage is a village in the Derbyshire Peak District, in England. It lies on the south bank of the River Derwent, approximately fifteen kilometres east of Sheffield. The village was known until the early twentieth century for the manufacture of needles and pins. The village boasts a station on the Hope Valley railway line, a youth hostel, and a mediaeval church. Little John is said to have been buried in the churchyard. Hathersage lies below Hathersage Moor, site of the Carl Wark fort and Higger Tor.
