Hasan Cengic

Hasan Čengić is the former deputy prime minister and defense minister of Muslim government of Bosnia-Herzegovina. He had extensive links with the Islamic rgime of Iran, travelled to the country repeatedly since the 1980s. Čengić was convicted in 1983 along with Alija Izetbegovic for attempting to foment religious intolerance and the removal of Serbs and Croats from Bosnia. Izetbegovic later fired Čengić in 1996 under pressure from the US Government as a condition for the Train and Equip program aimed at arming the Federation (Muslim-Croat) Army.
