Harbor Hills is an unincorporated census-designated place located in Licking County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the community had a total population of 1,303.

Geography

Harbor Hills is located at 39°55'58" North, 82°26'15" West (39.932782, -82.437381). According to the United States Census Bureau, the community has a total area of 8.9 km² (3.5 mi²). 7.1 km² (2.7 mi²) of it is land and 1.9 km² (0.7 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 20.87% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 1,303 people, 575 households, and 411 families residing in the community. The population density is 184.3/km² (478.1/mi²). There are 676 housing units at an average density of 95.6/km² (248.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the community is 98.39% White, 0.15% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.15% Asian, 0.15% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.15% from two or more races. 0.15% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 575 households out of which 19.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.1% are married couples living together, 5.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.5% are non-families. 22.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.27 and the average family size is 2.66. The population is spread out with 16.4% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 22.3% from 25 to 44, 35.1% from 45 to 64, and 19.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 48 years. For every 100 females there are 101.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 101.7 males. The median income for a household in the CDP is $48,510, and the median income for a family is $51,429. Males have a median income of $43,594 versus $27,361 for females. The per capita income for the community is $26,095. 2.4% of the population and 2.1% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 0.0% of those under the age of 18 and 5.2% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
