Organisation

The Hanzehogeschool is organised in 17 different colleges where similar studies are grouped. The colleges each have a dean who is responsible for daily management as well as lecturer teams who guide the basic education process. The main objectives for the Hogeschool are set by the College van Bestuur (management counsil).

History

The current form of the school is a result of a merger between the Rijkshogeschool Groningen and the Hanzehogeschool in April 1993. The school's history dates back to 1798 when the "Academy for Arts, Architecture and Shipbuilding" was founded.
