Hanns-christian Kaiser

Hanns-Christian Kaiser (* March, 26th 1969 in Karlsruhe) is an artist and graphic artist. Course of life: Hanns-Christian Kaiser is an artist with a very new of interpretation. In his childhood he completed art- and painting lessons in Karlsruhe. His oldest work from this time develops together with Herbert Zangs. In 1982 he moved to Baden-Baden. After his work as graphic designer he started working as an free artist. Work: Since the beginning of the early 1990s Kaiser created surfaces which are not trying to show something, the just are what they are. The paintings do not show pictures, the are surfaces which could be made of stone, wood or sand. At once the common sense instead of the eye starts to interpret the thing that's been seen. In 1995 the first "Continentalbilder" where made, in which four canvases showing four similar surfaces come together in one painting. These show, although they seen similar, four different surfaces. A major part of his new work is the sand. Kaiser creates dunes and waves raising on the canvas, that are normally made by wind or water. Famous work: "Rock 1", 1994 (Wood, Sand) Private, Frankfurt a.M., "Stone 5", 1997 (Wood, Sand) Fam. Bosch, "Black Continental 2", 2001, Skulpture, canvas "Black Wind 1" 2003, canvas, sand, acryl.
