Hamton J. PigHamton J. Pig is a fictional character from the Warner Bros. animated television series Tiny Toon Adventures. Although he was inspired by his mentor, Porky Pig, they are not particularly similar. He is best summed up by the screen test he gives while auditioning for the show in the first episode. - "I, um, clean! I react to characters funnier than I am, and I *somewhat shy* have low self esteem.." "Well, every show needs a straight man."
While an ironic neatfreak, Hampton loves to eat, and many of his more madness-inducing moments involve trying to overcome this vice. Plucky Duck tends to exploit these weaknesses, although he generally does seem to be his friend. He is one of the few characters whose family, admittedly bland, appeared (Mother, Father, and a fat, smelly Uncle). They figured prominently in the TTA Movie, How I Spent My Summer Vacation, mainly driving Plucky nuts. They appeared in another episode involving a house party Plucky goaded Hamton into throwing while the folks were out of town. Jonathan Winters voiced Mr. Pig (he had previously voiced Slap-Happy Stanley in an earlier episode). Edie McClurg voiced Hamton's mother. His mentor and favorite teacher at school was Porky Pig. A menorah-like candelabra seen in the Pig family window during the Christmas special implies that they are Jewish (but not do not keep kosher, as Hamton once tried to cook a lobster). The voice actor for Hamton J. Pig, Don Messick, passed away in 1997 of a stroke. Pig, Hamton J. Pig, Hamton J.
