The
Hamilton Tigers
were a
ice hockey
team based in
Hamilton, Ontario
from 1920 to 1925. They had relocated from
Quebec City, Quebec
where, for the 1919-20 season, they were known as the
Quebec Bulldogs
. The team played in the
National Hockey League
. In 1925, on the eve of their first berth to the
Stanley Cup
championship, the players went on strike. In retaliation, the
NHL
suspended all the players, forfeiting the league championship to the
Montreal Maroons
. They moved out that year to become the
New York Americans
.
