Hamath-zobah

This place in ancient Israel (See History of ancient Israel and Judah) was apparently conquered by Solomon and thus figuring in his only military engagement alluded to in the Bible. (2 Chr 8:3) Its exact location is uncertain. Hamath and Zobah may have been adjoining kingdoms, whence the compound name "Hamath-Zobah".
