Halliburton Logging Services was created when Gearhart Industries was acquired by Halliburton in October 1988 and merged with Welex which was already owned by Halliburton. In 1995, the parent company was fined for violating the embargo restricting trading with Libya by sending siz pulse neutron generators to that country through this subsidiary.
