Gyrgy Kurtg

Gyrgy Kurtg (born February 19, 1926) is a Hungarian composer of contemporary music. He studied composition at the Franz Liszt Academy, Budapest in 1946, attending classes with Darius Milhaud and Olivier Messiaen in Paris in 1957. Kurtg is notable for his The sayings of Pter Bornemisza for soprano and piano, Quasi una fantasia (piano concerto), Kafka-Fragments (for soprano and violin), and Jtkok (pieces for one or two pianos).
