GusgusGusGus is an artist group from Reykjavk, Iceland founded in 1995. Initially formed as a film and actor's collective, they became mostly known for their electronic music. GusGus has had a varied lineup: Herb Legowitz, Biggi Thorarinsson (aka Biggi Viera), Danel gst, Magns Jonsson, Siggi Kjartansson, Stefan Arni, Hafdis Huld, Emiliana Torrini, Urdur Hakonardottir (aka Earth), Magnus Gudmundsson (aka Buckmaster DeLaCruz) and Baldur Stefansson. Several lineup changes have occurred, and their current incarnation consists of 4 members. The filmmaking arm of GusGus split off to form the production company "Celebrator", which has produced award-winning advertisements and videos. A few former members have gone solo, most notably Emiliana Torrini, who provided a song for the soundtrack to Peter Jackson's The Two Towers. Their music is eclectic, and although primarily classified with trip-hop and house music, they have experimented with numerous other styles.
