Gunung Kerinci is the highest mountain of Sumatra, Indonesia. It is located in the Kerinci national park, Kerinci seblat. The volcano is still active occasionally. The obsidian produced by the eruptions of this mountains has been used to fashion tools in the prehistoric period.
