Gun (Staff)

Gun (棍 pinyin gn) refers to a long Chinese staff weapon slightly less tall than the user with his arms stretched up. Some styles of Chinese martial arts train with much longer weapons, up to 13 feet (4 meters), however. There are also exotic variants such as the three sectional staff. The wushu event is a Changquan method of using the gun.
