Guam General Election, 2004

The Guam general election of 2004 was held on 2 November. It saw a defeat for the Democratic Party, with the Republican Party taking control of the territory's legislature. Guam's legislature is elected from the 15 candidates who get the most votes in total. Nine Republicans and six Democrats won seats. However, the island's Congressional candidate remained a Democrat, with Madeleine Bordallo retaining her seat. 2004
