Gua Grandegua Grande is a district of So Tom Province. Its capital, So Tom, is also the provincial capital of So Tom, and national capital of the equatorial Atlantic islands of So Tom and Prncipe. Covering only 17 square kilometers, it is the smallest of the nations seven districts in terms of area, but the largest in population with an estimated 54,300 residents in 2004.
