Grupo Bronco

Grupo Bronco was a Mexican northern regional music group. The members were Guadalupe Esparza, Ramiro Delgado, Jose Luis 'Choche' Villareal and Javier Villareal. They performed from 1982 to 1997. Bronco was formed in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, near Monterrey. Bronco reached international fame in 1993, when they acted in the Televisa soap opera, Dos Mujeres, un Camino (Two Women, one Road), alongside Erik Estrada, Laura Leon, Lorena Herrera, Selena Quintanilla and Bibi Gaytan, among others. In addition to that, they performed the show's opening song, which was titled like the show. During that time also, their song Que no Quede Huella (May no Traces be Left) became a huge international hit. They went on tour after this, and their long schedule took them all over Mexico, to the United States, Puerto Rico, Spain, Argentina, Venezuela, Peru and many other countries. After Esparza announced he was going to pursue a solo career in 1997, the group broke up. However, in 2003, they announced a return. They intended to use the name Bronco again, but a large dispute over this broke up, because their manager had copyrighted the name of Bronco, therefore, they chose to use Gigantes de America as a name (America's Giants, phrase in which every country in the Americas is loosely described as America). That was the nickname their public gave them during their 15 years as Bronco. Bronco has sold more than 10 million albums to date.
