grr

In J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional universe of Middle-earth, Grr was a Dwarf of Durin's folk. Grr was the younger son of King Din I, and younger brother of Frr and Thrr. When Thrr left the Iron Hills to reclaim the Kingdom of Erebor, Grr remained behind, ruling over the majority of Durin's folk even if his brother was King. After Thrr was murdered following the climatic Battle of Azanulbizar in the year 2799, it may have been Grr's age that kept him from participating since he died fives years later in 2805. Grr's son Nin was killed at the Battle of Nanduhirion, and the rule of the Dwarves of the Iron Hills passed to his grandson, Din II Ironfoot.
