Group BuyGroup buys are when an item has to be bought in a certain number to be able to get the item, usually happens when dealing with industrial items (such as Single-board computers). Either a dollar amount, or minimum quantity has to be met. Since most people don't need several of one item, and/or don't have the money to, they invite others to get in on it, often it's quite cheap for said item, or a very hard to get item in the consumer world. Often done via Internet Forums (check that website's policy on such things before posting group buys).
