In the fiction Gundam Universe, the Grey Phantom (MSC-08) is a Pegasus class mobile suit carrier. The ship differs in design from earlier Peagasus class ships, but is functionally equivalent to her sisters. The Grey Phantom debuted in Gundam 0080, when it was dispatched on a covert operation to pick up the RX-78NT1 "Alex" Gundam at the Federation's R&D base inside Side 6. Here, the Scarlet Team attached to the Grey Phantom was sent into combat against the Zeons Cyclops team. During the battle the entire Grey Phantom Mobile Suit squadron was destroyed. In UC 0083 the Grey Phantom was sailed to the Federation's naval review. During the reveiw the Delaz Fleet launched Operation Stardust by executing a nuclear attack on the ships participating in the naval review. The attack disabled or destroyed about 60% of the Federation's space vessles, including the Grey Phantom.
