Greta ScacchiGreta Scacchi (born February 18, 1960 in Milan, Italy) is an cinema actress. Scacchi was born as Greta Gracco in Milan, Italy. Her mother was an English dancer and her father was an Italian painter. Greta's parents divorced when she was three. Her mother returned to England with Greta. In 1975, Greta's family (her mother had now remarried) moved to Australia. In 1977, Scacchi returned to England to pursue an acting career. She studied at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, with Miranda Richardson and Amanda Redman. In 1982, Scacchi made her film debut in the German movie Das Zweite Gesicht (The Second Face). Scacchi married actor Vincent D'Onofrio in 1991. The marriage lasted approximately eighteen months. The couple have a daughter Leila.
