Greenville Township is a township located in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 718.

Geography

Demographics

As of the census ² of 2000, there are 718 people, 239 households, and 196 families residing in the township. The population density is 11.0/km² (28.4/mi²). There are 273 housing units at an average density of 4.2/km² (10.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.19% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.81% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 239 households out of which 39.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 72.0% are married couples living together, 7.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 17.6% are non-families. 15.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.00 and the average family size is 3.35. In the township the population is spread out with 32.5% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 28.1% from 25 to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 10.3% who are 65 years of age or older.
