Green Card (Film)

Green Card is a 1990 romantic comedy directed by Peter Weir. The film stars Grard Depardieu, Andie MacDowell, Bebe Neuwirth and Gregg Edelman. It received an Academy Award nomination in the category Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen. The plot involves George Faur (Depardiue), a frenchman, and Bronte Parrish (MacDowell), who initially form a marriage purely for convenience, but somehow end up falling in love.
