I hope someone knows the answer to this. What is the Russian attitude to the rest of WW2? Would a Russian historian consider the Battle of Normandy to be part of the Great Patriotic War? Or is there a separate name for the rest of the conflict? DJ Clayworth 15:05, 16 Mar 2004 (UTC) - No. The Great Patriotic War is another name for the Russo-German War. - Yup, I'm not sure which way to go though. The Great Patriotic War is more commonly known, but the Russo-German War is more of the universal name for the conflict (especially outside of Russia at the time). Oberiko 02:47, 17 Mar 2004 (UTC)
