Grave DisorderGrave Disorder was a 2001 album from the punk rock band The Damned Touted highly by fans and ignored as usual by the press and critics Grave Disorder was released with a world tour that had The Damned in the US for the first time since Phantasmagoria. Musically the album sounds exactly were Vanian & Sensible left off in their working relationship in the era postStrawberries & pre-Phantasmagoria with modern sampling and looping ("Absinthe"), gothic rock ("Thrill Kill"), pure punk ("Obscene" & "Amen"), deep gothic piano pieces ("Beauty Of The Beast" & "The End Of Time"), and of course just good pop songs. Songs like "W" show that The Damned had contributed much to the Britpop sound, as it harkened back directly to the sound on Strawberries. "Song.Com" offers a tongue & check statement of the Internet, rolling fast and very catchy. "Democracy?" offers a harsh political statement of disgust, after the punk movements 25 years on and so little has changed in politics. "Democracy?" states that case that The Damned do not want to disappoint, as did the hippies, by becoming complacent in music or politics. Track listing - Democracy?
