Gometra

Gometra is an island in the Scottish Inner Hebrides, lying south west of Mull. It lies immediately north west of Ulva, to which it is linked by a bridge, and a low tide also by a beach. The island was formerly agricultural, growing grain for the monastery on Iona. Once home to a population of over a hundred, now down to a handful of people, up to a thousand black face sheep, a flock of goats, and red deer. Attractions on the island include a burial ground.
