Godzilla Vs Mechagodzilla IiGodzilla vs MechaGodzilla II (Gojira tai Mekagojira in the original Japanese) is a 1993 film. Part of the Toho studio's Godzilla series, it was directed by Takao Okawara with special effects by Koichi Kawakita. It was written by Wataru Mimura. Godzilla fights MechaGodzilla, a giant robotic version of himself. In this series, MechaGodzilla is a human-created robot based on the body of Mecha-King Ghidorah salvaged from the 1991 movie. The movie also features Fire Rodan, an updated version of the original Rodan. This was originally supposed to be the final film of the Heisei era with Godzilla dying at the end.
