Godzilla (Video Game)

Godzilla: Monster of Monsters is a Nintendo Entertainment System video game made in 1988 by Toho Co. LTD. It features two playable characters, Godzilla and Mothra. The player uses both monsters in turn by selecting the desired creature on a virtual gameboard, representative of the planet it is on, and moving it like a chess piece. Each space is a hexagon that represents playable, side-scrolling levels. There are several varieties of levels including forest, mountain, enemy base, sub-space, and ruined cities.

Cheat codes

Destr0y All M0nsters - Places player in the first level, with lots of experience points, and with all enemy characters on board. Sea M0nster - Probably a half-finished code as it creates glitches. It places the player on Planet - X and enemy characters "appear" out of a glitched hexagon in the center of the board. Additional glitches can be created on some versions of the game by pressing select, copying down the code, and entering that code. This is a very little known code and fun for those who like the game. Start t0 End - Shows the end sequence M0nster Zer0 - Places the player on the first board with very little in the way of stats with King Ghidora at the end of the level. S0und - Enters a sound test (Leave the code screen blank and select end) - this puts the player in a board with no monsters, a debug level. Gh1d0ra - Another cheat that was likely either unfinished or a debug menu of sorts. When entered, it takes the player to a black screen that only shows the highlighting tool. If you move the tool to the extreme right, you will see the symbols for levels, and one that is either a graphical glitch or perhaps an unused level. No character is present or playable in this map. You can press select and use that code to further distort what is happening. It's fun for those who have played this game and liked it.
