Founded in 1997 by Bob Parsons, who previously founded the software manufacturer Parsons Technology, Go Daddy has become one of the largest domain name registrars. Go Daddy won the CNET Editors Choice award in 2001 and the Name Intelligence Largest Net Gain Award in both 2002 and 2003, jumping from the fifth largest registrar, to third largest overall, trailing only Network Solutions and Tucows. According to Name Intelligence, Inc. Go Daddy is ranked #1 among all net registrars in new domain registrations. Go Daddy is also the registrar for the Wikipedia and all other Wikimedia servers. Go Daddy also won the Arizona Corporate Excellence Award for fastest growing privately-held company in 2003 and Most Innovative Large Company in 2004. Go Daddy's main office is in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. Like many US corporations, it is incorporated in the U.S. state of Delaware. Super Bowl Ad In 2005, the company produced a commercial to parody the controversy over the Janet Jackson incident in the Super Bowl. It was shown in it's first time slot, but was pulled by Fox following presure from the NFL from it's second spot. Radio Go Daddy Starting March 30, 2005 Go Daddy is launching Radio Go Daddy. Produced by David Lawrence, the program promises not to be an infomercial, but instead a program on dicy-issues related business, domain names, etc. Listeners will be able to hear it on satellite radio, selected AM radio stations and finally on Radio Go Daddy's own website.
