Globalization and Its Discontents is a book written by the 2001 Nobel laureate Joseph E. Stiglitz. It was published in W.W. Norton & Company in June 2002 with ISBN 0393051242. It mainly concerns the international financial institutions, in particular the IMF and how it mishandled the world economy. The role of the US Department of the Treasury in influencing outcome of trade agreements is briefly touched.
