Glenn Shafer

Glenn Shafer authored A Mathematical Theory of Evidence which was published by the Princeton University Press in 1976. Jeff Barnet introduced the book's theory to the artificial intelligence community in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Barnet dubbed Shafer's theory the Dempster-Shafer theory.
