Glen RoederFormer manager of West Ham United F.C Roeder spent his playing days as a mediocre player at Newcastle United F.C. After West Ham manager Harry Redknapp left the club, Roeder took over as caretaker manager. After taking the Hammers to senventh place he officially became the manager, which the fans enjoyed. However, in the next season Roeder managed to drag West Ham into the relegation zone. A series of bust-ups and poor managerial decisions, West Ham looked sunk. A rise in form gave the Hammers some hope, but the damage was already done. Roeder had managed to get the team relegated, for which he may never be forgiven. Later it was revealed that Roeder had to have a brain operation, which the fans gave him some sympathy. But after losing the first game of the new season, Roeder was out on his ear. West Ham brought in care-taker manager Trevor Brooking, who stepped aside for Alan Pardew.
