Glebe

In medieval Europe, a glebe was an area of land, belonging to a parish, whose revenues contributed towards the parish expenses. A glebe-house is a rectory, built for the parish priest, vicar, pastor, or rector, usually at church expense. It is also the name of several places: In Australia:
