Gibsons, British Columbia

Gibsons is a small costal community located in southwestern British Columbia, Canada on the Strait of Georgia. It is the main marine gateway to the Sunshine Coast. Approximately one hour from Vancouver and accessible from there only by ferry, the town played host to the long-running CBC television series The Beachcombers. The caf portrayed in the show, Molly's Reach, is now a real caf and a local attraction. The 4,000-odd residents of Gibsons are primarily employed in government, tourism and resource-based industries with an emphasis on fisheries and forestry. Gibsons website
