Georgian National Section Of Euroscience

The Georgian National Section of EUROSCIENCE (or EUROSCIENCE-Georgia) was founded in 1998, in Tbilisi, by the group of leading Georgian scholars. The Section is a Georgian Department of EUROSCIENCE (European Association for Promotion of Science and Technology, France), Non-governmental, Non-profit, scientific and educational organization. EUROSCIENCE was founded in 1997. This Pan-European Association has now about 5,000 individual members in more than 40 European countries, 9 Working Groups and 16 Regional Sections. EUROSCIENCE-Georgia has 9 Associate Organizations and about 70 individual members. Chairman of the National Section is Dr. Levan Urushadze. Famous members of EUROSCIENCE-Georgia were Academician Levan Chilashvili, Academician Vakhtang Bochorishvili, Prof. Jondo Bardavelidze, Prof. Simon Gvritishvili and Dr. Vakhtang Itonishvili. Outstanding members of the Section are: Prof. Guram Mchedlidze, Prof. Guranda Gvaladze, Prof. Rafael Chikovani, Prof. Mikheil Gedevanishvili, Prof. Zurab Dzotsenidze, Prof. Valerian Itonishvili, Prof. Zurab Urushadze and others. The Georgian National Section of EUROSCIENCE is recognized by the Governing Board of EUROSCIENCE and the Georgian Academy of Sciences.
