Geography is located at 47°4'42" North, 119°51'26" West (47.078445, -119.857129). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.6 km² (0.6 mi²). 1.6 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 528 people, 141 households, and 106 families residing in the city. The population density is 339.8/km² (879.2/mi²). There are 162 housing units at an average density of 104.2/km² (269.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 80.11% White, 0.00% African American, 0.57% Native American, 0.38% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 16.10% from other races, and 2.84% from two or more races. 60.23% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 141 households out of which 49.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.2% are married couples living together, 6.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 24.8% are non-families. 18.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.74 and the average family size is 4.39. In the city the population is spread out with 37.7% under the age of 18, 16.5% from 18 to 24, 26.9% from 25 to 44, 14.0% from 45 to 64, and 4.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 23 years. For every 100 females there are 118.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 140.1 males. The median income for a household in the city is $21,181, and the median income for a family is $23,571. Males have a median income of $21,667 versus $13,875 for females. The per capita income for the city is $7,779. 36.2% of the population and 33.0% of families are below the poverty line.
