Gearhart

Gearhart "The GO Company" was an independent Oilwell service company founded by Marvin Gearhart and Harold Owen based out of Fort Worth which provided Logging and Perforating services to both domestic and international customers. It was usually supported by national oil companies as a way of preventing or breaking Schlumberger monopolies. The downturn in the oil industry caused by the low oil prices in the mid 1980's made things very difficult for it and it was eventually acquired by Halliburton on 15 October 1988 and merged with Welex_Jet_Services to become Halliburton Logging Services.
