Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 449 people, 168 households, and 128 families residing in the borough. The population density is 234.3/km² (606.3/mi²). There are 180 housing units at an average density of 93.9/km² (243.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 99.55% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.45% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 168 households out of which 33.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.3% are married couples living together, 10.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.8% are non-families. 21.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
