Gaming HorizonGaming Horizon (link) is an online video game news outlet, featuring reviews, previews, editorials, and news updates about current video games and gaming issues. = Focus = Gaming Horizon reports unbiased news and reviews on any gaming platform. Unlike other large video game websites, Gaming Horizon is run entirely by volunteer staff. This means all writing is motivated solely by interest, preventing any misconception of "opinions for sale." Gaming Horizon's yearly coverage of the Electronic Entertainment Expo often draws much attention because of its no-nonsense approach to game coverage. At the 2004 E3 Expo, Aaron Dunlap's coverage of Infinium Labs' upcoming video game console, The Phantom, was the first to hit the internet and received much exposure. Gaming Horizon strives to maintain an online integrity seemingly lost by other sites, they allow their writers freedom to express any opinion, and they do not allow game publishers to sponsor specific content. = Site history = Pre-Gaming Horizon Gaming Horizon was created by the staff behind PSX Network, a news and review site dedicated to Sony's PlayStation system. In 2002, PSX Network was shut down and Gaming Horizon was started and featured no system bias. First Version The first version of Gaming Horizon launched January 1 2002. The site was the first website designed by Gaming Horizon's graphic artist, John Godfrey. Second Version In 2003, Gaming Horizon relaunched with a new design by John Godfrey. The new design was impressive, and brought a new level of respectability to Gaming Horizon. = Staff = Administration Design & IT Editorial
