Gaius Rubellius Blandus

Gaius Rubellius Blandus (d. 38?) was a consul of ancient Rome, a grandson of Rubellius Blandus of Tibur. He was a suffect consul in 18 AD, and married Claudia Julia, daughter of Livilla and Drusus Julius Caesar (Tacitus, Ann. 6. 27. 1). Their children included Gaius Rubellius Plautus, who was considered as a rival to Nero, and a daughter Rubellia Bussa. Juvenal (Sat. 8. 39) suggests another son, also named Gaius Rubellius Blandus.
