G CodeG Code is a scheme to assist in the recording of television programs on video recorders in the United States. Video recorders with G Code supported are able to convert G codes into a time and channel. When the video recorder is supplied with a G code, it will automatically start the recording process at the designated time period. G Code are usually printed on TV programme lists in local newspapers. See also
