furians

Furians are a mythical race of warrior beings found in the movie Riddick; a prophecy dictates that a Furian will bring down the Necromongers and their Lord Marshal (Colm Feore). Feeling threatened by the prophecy Necromongers slaughtered the entire Furian race. Only one Furian child survived. Richard B. Riddick turns out to be the last of them. There are stories of male Furians, strangled at birth with their own cords and the true crime on Furya (probably the Necromonger genocide of the Furian species).
