Frederick Smith

Founder of "FedEx" wrote thesis at Yale University based on a business plan to deleiver packages overnight to people accross America. Professor gave Fred a grade of "D' on thesis paper, exclaiming "Fred why would anyone in their right mind do this when they can use the U.S. mail to deliver packages? Fortunatley Mr. Smith didn't listen to that Yale proffesor... FedEx is now a multi- billion dollar company delivering packages globally. The company recently aquired Kinkos Inc. for well over $1 billion. It is a national chain of copy and print centers which was founded by a college student out of a garage in Santa Barbara, CA in the 1980's.
