Frat PackThe Frat Pack is a nickname given to a group of Hollywood actors, mostly male, who have appeared together in many movies since the late 1990s. The name is a take-off of the Rat Pack, a group of performers who gathered around Frank Sinatra in the 1950s and 1960s, combined with the shorthand term for a college fraternity. The implication is that this group is a cross between the cool hipness of stars in the past and the sophomoric or outrageous antics of more recent stars. The name is also a reference to the group's film Old School. Many members of the Frat Pack are veterans of the television show Saturday Night Live. The Frat Pack includes a large number of actors (and actresses), though the core group consists of Ben Stiller, Luke and Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, and Will Ferrell. Infrequent members include Jack Black, Kyle Gass, Horatio Sanz, Tim Meadows, Jason Bateman, Sean William Scott, Adam Sandler, Andy Dick, Ben Affleck, Jamie Kennedy, Jason Schwartzman, Ryan Reynolds, Jason Lee, Seth Green, Mike Myers, Jim Carrey, and Rob Schneider. Only a few women who have appeared in some Frat Pack movies could be included in this group: Molly Shannon, Janeane Garofalo, Christine Taylor, Juliette Lewis, Jennifer Aniston, Missi Pyle, and Amy Smart. Several directors, including Wes Anderson, Kevin Smith, and Todd Phillips, have directed a large number of Frat Pack movies and are considered to be part of the group. Some Frat Pack movies include The Cable Guy, Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, Meet the Parents, Zoolander, The Royal Tenenbaums, Orange County, Wedding Crashers, Old School, Starsky & Hutch, , Anchorman, Road Trip, Superstar, and Mystery Men.
