Frank Kolb

Dr Frank Kolb is Professor of Ancient History at the University of Tubingen. He has been involved in a controversy over findings concerning Late Bronze Age Troy. He has accused Professor Dr Manfred Korfmann (who has been leading excavations at the archaeological site of Troy) of deliberate misrepresentation of his archaeological findings at Troy. Kolb believes Troy was not an important city, and that it certainly was not, as Korfmann (and others) suggests a significant trade centre.
