Foz Do Iguau International Airport

Foz do Iguau International Airport (IGU), is located in Foz do Iguau, Brazil and also serves Ciudad del Este and Puerto Iguazu. It is the second busiest airport in Paran state and the 22nd busiest in Brazil. The airport is one of the 65 administered by Infraero. The airport has a runway of 2100m x 100m and a terminal capable of 1 million passengers annually. The airport is capable of handling widebody aircraft as large of MD-11, with restrictions in weight in landings and take-offs, or B767s or B737NG without restrictions. 600,000 passengers passed through the airport in 2003, mostly tourists. Varig, VASP and TAM have daily flights to the airport. Belm, Cascavel, Curitiba, Frankfurt, Macap, Paris, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, So Lus and So Paulo are the cities directly served by these flights, as of 2003.
